Planning a wedding is fun, tiring, stressful, crazy and wonderful and it also involves a whole lot of details. Make sure the groom is pulling his weight – here are our top 7 ways for grooms to get involved…

Take care of things that you’re directly a part of: Your bride probably has a gazillion things to take care of from contacting vendors and finalizing the venue to picking her dress and bridesmaids. Help her out by handling things that concern you for starters – pick a suit or tuxedo, what your groomsmen will wear and your wedding ring.

Help where you can: While traditionally brides tend to lead on the wedding planning, your help and inputs will be much appreciated. So offer to help and make sure you see it through. Love music? Get cracking on finding a band or if you’re good with numbers, keep on top of the budget.

Plan your wedding registry: If you’ve decided you’re going to have a wedding registry, we’d recommend MyList so spend some time going over what you already have and what might be nice to receive as gifts. Do some research online or spend some time shopping together if you want to go all out.

Show your bride you care: In the middle of all the wedding planning your bride is going to really appreciate little gestures. Surprise her with flowers, plan a quiet meal or maybe book her in for a quick spa visit to show her how much you care.

Work on the honeymoon: This is one aspect of the wedding planning that you could completely take over. If you both love certain kind of destinations, maybe a place with a beach or one that has history and architecture you’re both a fan of, try and do some research on it.
