Mehendi

The Mehendi ceremony, where Henna is applied to the hands and feet of the bride, is one of the smaller elements of the pre-wedding ceremonies. Close friends and family will gather to share this moment with the bride-to-be. One of the stylish suites is the perfect size for this intimate event. They can transform the room with plush drapery and cushions to give it that cosy yet luxurious feel.

Welcome Dinner or Sangeet

This event is usually held the night before the wedding and is an extravagant celebration of best outfits, dancing and music. There are two locations onboard the QE2 to chose from. The Queens Room is a 1960s throwback (but with all the mod cons!) with dramatic lighting and stunning white pillars. It’s totally ‘Sangeet ready’ with two stage areas and a dancefloor. The Chartroom (just next door) is a great place to carry on the festivities late into the evening, a cabaret style Grand Lounge with opulent velvet curtains, red chairs and a stage perfect for the celebrations to start.

Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony will be conducted underneath a canopy known as a Mandap. It can be built either inside or out depending on where you’d like to get married. If you’re after an outdoor ceremony then the picturesque Boat Deck is simply stunning or for an inside affair what could be more exclusive than the Yacht Club.

Post-Wedding Ceremony

For a delicious buffet lunch after the ceremony why not move inside to the Queens Room. It can hold up to 340 guests so keep sending out those invitations! The chefs on the QE2 will cater for your every need and make sure the food is sublime and just to your tastes.

Dinner Reception

The Dinner Reception is possibly the grandest of them all! This event takes much preparation and the team on the QE2 will be there to help you make it an absolute spectacle. Here the couple will make their first appearance as a married couple and will be given gifts by their guests. whom you will be sure to “WOW” on the QE2!
