Wedding Day Gifts For the Bride and Groom

While your friends and families will be a big part of your wedding day, the day really is all about the two of you. Let your partner know just how much you’re thinking of them as you get ready with a little gift or token to make them tear up (happy tears) or smile. Read on for a fab selection of gifts for brides and grooms…

For The Bride:

  • You can never really go wrong with jewellery. Buy her something timeless like a necklace with both your initials and the date of the wedding on it or one that says Mrs. You can also engrave your wedding ring with the date or a small quote. A timeless pair of small diamond studs or engraved ring dish are sweet options also!
  • A robe always comes in handy and one with her name, new initials (if she plans to change her name) or ‘bride’ on it will make her feel extra special.
  • If there’s a tradition of gifting something specific in your family or a family heirloom handed down from several generations, it could be really sweet to pass it on to her.
  • What does she adore? If she loves her books, try and get her a first edition of her favorite. Or if she’s a fan of all things vintage, pick her up a vintage hair accessory or necklace she’ll treasure forever.

  • You cannot go wrong with something personalized. A framed picture of you both taken at one of your favorite locations with a mushy or a fun quote is a nice keepsake.
  • You can make a mix of the songs she loves to sing along with or dance to and have her maid of honor play it as she gets ready for the wedding. Don’t forget to add a little note.
  • One thing that is sure to floor her is a surprise choreographed dance. Enlist your groomsmen and best man to join in and you can rest assured, this is one gift that’s going to draw a lot of cheers both from her and your guests.
  • Talk nicely to her Mom or Maid of Honor; it could be really sweet to have her favorite breakfast delivered to her in bed on the morning of the wedding. A glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or coffee the way she likes it along with some flowers are sure to brighten up her morning as gears up for the wedding.
  • Buy her a bottle of her favorite perfume or one that you know she has been eyeing up. She’ll be reminded of the wedding every time she uses it.
  • You can pick up lots of cute Mr/Mrs trinkets like mugs, glasses or cushions that she can add to your home!

For the groom:

  • Get your groom a nice watch and have it engraved with his initials and the date of the wedding. This is one accessory that he can use on a daily basis. If it’s a pocket watch, he can use it for special occasions.
  • Cufflinks are another set of timeless accessories and are great for personalization. You can get both your initials on one and the wedding date on the other.
  • A lot of couples have their song, and if you two have one as well, get him the CD or even better a vinyl record and frame it. You can also frame lyrics of your first dance together.
  • If you’re honeymooning, a nice pair of sunglasses, new luggage, a book about the country you’re visiting or a personalized passport holder will get him excited for the trip.

  • Book an activity that you know he’s sure to appreciate. It can include both of you or something that you know he’s been wanting to try for sometime such as flying lessons.
  • Create a little memory box with things that the two of you have done together. A ticket stub from a movie you both watched and enjoyed, a souvenir from a place you visited together, letters or notes that were exchanged and a list of the reasons you love him.
  • If your future hubby loves collecting old cameras, find one that he’ll love adding to his collection. If it’s sports memorabilia, get him something he has spoken about having in the past. Think about things he likes and find a unique gift he’ll appreciate!
  • Most men love a good cologne so send him one the morning as a surprise – it will transport you both back every time he wears it.
