Dubai Floral Design Workshop by Wally Klett

Who is Wally Klett?

Ms Wally Klett is Judge-President of the Stuttgart Florist Master School (Germany) and Certified European Judge with the Federation of Professional Florists’ Association, and she has also judged (and continues to judge) a number of other major floristry competitions throughout the world.

She has also authored a number of books on wedding floristry. Her bouquet designs are often used in top fashion shows in Paris, England, Russia and other major cities around the world.

Her seminars and workshops (mostly across Europe, America and Asia) focus on floristry education, wedding floristry, bouquets and arrangements, trend floristry and also Christmas floral design. Wally Klett’s work is a great deal more decorative than the norm and her wedding work is specialised in that field specifically as this has made her famous world-wide.

What is the focus of the workshop?

For the first time in 2016, Wally Klett presents a 2-day bridal floral design workshop in Dubai on 18 & 19 October organized by Yes!exclusive weddings & events at Natural Flowers – Wafi Mall.

Wally’s seminar will be based on wedding bouquets, techniques in decorative ornamental wire frames for bouquets, boutonnieres, working with beads, exceptional couture designs, hair pieces, floral jewellery and table decorations for weddings, styled shoots for magazines, fashion and couture.

Who should attend?

The workshop is focused at floral industry professionals and students of floristry and will provide an unequalled opportunity to learn techniques and design construction unlike anything you’ve seen before.

However, anyone with a keen interested in floral design and bridal floristry is welcome to attend. Wally’s work is significantly different to what we know and practise in the UAE. This workshop is highly recommended for anyone focused on wedding floristry and/or interested to learn completely different techniques with decorative materials that can also be incorporated in other floral designs.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Flowers and materials required for the practical session will be provided, but you need to bring your own tools:

Cutting shears / floral scissors (required)

A sharp knife (required)

Pliers to cut wire (required)

A glue gun with sufficient glue sticks (required)

An apron (recommended)
