Today we sit down with owner and designer Sara J., to learn more about her company and why she loves what she does…

How long have you been a wedding planner?

I have been celebrating & creating fairytales for 9 years, and looking forward to many more!

What kind of weddings do you specialise in?

We started out creating beautiful “khaleeji weddings” which are local weddings based in the GCC. However, now we specialise in international weddings around the world.

What services do you offer?

As an Interior Architect, our first & foremost service is creating bespoke wedding design. We create & execute wedding designs, allocate all the required and the most suitable vendors for the event and liaise between the vendors & the couple, providing full event management.

What do you love most about being a wedding planner?

I love being a part of a joyous & memorable day, it is essentially creating a fairytale.

What current wedding trends are your favourite?

Some of my favorite summer wedding trends are the use of color, now that summer is here color palettes are seeing a “pop” of color while maintaining a sophisticated look.

Another trend I love is having themes based on travel! For instance Amalfi inspired color tones & florals is very trendy this summer.

Finally, statement aisles are very trendy. Having a statement aisle can be personalized and be a unique and memorable feature in weddings.

How do you work with engaged couples?

We first offer a free consultation, in which we discuss the entire “brief”. Based on that we send our offer. Upon agreement we finalize the mood board, and work on all required design drawings. We set up all necessary meetings with the required vendors (venue, photographers, DJ, and so on). Prior to the event we offer any required samples. Finally, we work on the set up and management on the day.

What tips would you give to couples planning their wedding?

It’s important to give yourself enough time for the planning, so it will be enjoyable rather than stressful. Other than that, I would say set your budget, the budget would help you have a clear image of what to expect right from the start.
