Today our monthly health & fitness contributor; Jennie Law from the White Dress Workout is sharing her top 5 go-to exercises to define and sculpt your shoulders…
Hi Brides! Who wants some sharp, defined shoulders for the big day? If you’re shouting ‘Me’ then good news! I’m here to help! Unless you’re wearing a dress with sleeves on your big day; chances are you will have your shoulders on display for all to see so let’s make them look their best!
Click on each exercise for a quick how-to!
Start with a weight you think you can perform 3 sets of 12-15 repetitions with. If you’re not struggling on the last 2-3 repetitions then move up to the next weight. In order for the muscles to become more more shapely, they will need to work hard and you should feel ‘the burn’ so when it starts getting a bit tiring, push through those last couple of reps – they’re the ones that will make all the difference!
Try performing these exercises 2-3 times per week (leaving a couple of days in between for recovery) for at least 4 weeks to see a difference.
If you don’t have access to a gym, you can use water bottles as a replacement for some of the exercises and also resistance bands of varying strength are a great alternative and reasonably priced.
See you next month!
