Wedding Styling Inspiration | A Q&A with Aqeela of Dantilace

This week we caught up with wedding planner Aqeela, owner of Dantilace Events, to learn more about why she loves what she does, and what makes her signature style so special…

Aqeela, how did you become a wedding planner?

I always wanted to be an interior designer, but choosing a different major and working in different sectors didn’t stop me from fulfilling my dream. They always say “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” so one day I decided to take a step towards my dream by doing something more creative and related to what I love. I love decorating, floral design, playing with patterns, textures and colors, I love to take care of the details and to be creative and to transfer ordinary spaces to breathtaking wedding venues, simply I love to make everything around me beautiful.

I enrolled in wedding and event planning course and I attended workshops with top planners/designers in US. I always believe that passion create wonders and I wanted my passion to become my career so Dantilace was founded.

What do you love most about being a wedding planner?

I live for beauty, I believe beauty is all around, in every small details, in everything we see and feel, and if we’re able to create it why not making others enjoy it, and fell in love many times with what they see especially on their wedding day.

Being a wedding planner give me the chance to do what I’m passionate about, to be creative, to create beauty and intimate atmosphere filled with floral, elegant/tasteful details, dreamy candlelight and chandeliers, unique scent and texture to reflects the couple’s vision and to make them fell in love with the details every time they remember it. It’s all in the special touches and the details that make the day, I believe every moment and corner in the couple’s wedding day should reflect and tell their guests something about them.

What do you consider to be your style?

The classic and timeless style. I believe in simplicity and elegance, any wedding can be elegant without feeling overdone, and we focus to personalize each wedding tailored to each couple.

Can you tell us a little about the inspiration for this shoot?

This shoot was inspired by France, the landscapes and lush flora, the soft color palette, the dreamy lace, the antiques, and the elegant details.

To us connection and trust is everything. We focus on making our couples happy and satisfied from the day we meet to their wedding day. We do our best to source high quality materials and to work with talented vendors to perfectly execute their vision and make their day exceptional.

We build a special bond with each couple and the joy on their faces after months of planning is priceless to us. We love to see our couples enjoying their special day, It’s a priceless happy moments they celebrate with their loved ones, it’s the start to their forever together.
