Models and celebrities usually set the trends in makeup, beauty and fashion, and nail art is no different. A-listers have donned bright and metallic shades at red carpet events over the past few months and it’s rubbed off on the bridal world with some amazing new bridal nail trends for 2015. Check out some of our favourites here…
Marsala Nails
2015 is all about Marsala, Pantone’s colour of the year 2015. This hue has taken the world by storm and designers, models and brides alike are ardent fans of it. The colour sure is a lively one, and you cannot go wrong with it particularly if you’re looking to make a bold statement.
Matte Metallic
Consider a mani using metallic shades, but in a matte finish to keep it extra chic! Play around with nude hues and intricate patterns for gorgeous results.
Over the top bridal nail accessories
A little bling does no harm when it comes to weddings. Use nude shades for the nails and add glittering nail accessories like stones or Swarovski crystals. If you’re having a themed wedding with specific colours, you could even select those for the base and add accessories to complement it.
Mismatched nails
Want really unique and attention grabbing nail art? Then go for nails with a bunch of cute, mismatched designs for a bold yet elegant look.
Negative spaces
This is a huge trend in nail art for brides and relies on tiny pops of colours either at the base or the tip of the nails.
Ombre or gradient nails
Ombre nails are back in vogue and you can choose light to dark hues (or vice a versa) to create a striking and fun effect.
