Mark and Joanne from La Table Events have styled some amazing weddings over the past few months and today we’re delighted to share one of them. This Indian wedding took place over 2 days starting off with the Sangeet followed the next day by the wedding ceremony and main reception. The entire wedding was an extravaganza of culture and love!!!

The Sangeet is usually held the night before the wedding and is a lavish celebration. It has a real party atmosphere and people will wear their best outfits and dance to Indian music. Here the Sangeet has a romantic garden theme with lots of gorgeous greenery, sparkly fairy lights and candles which were offset beautifully against the Dubai skyline. The couple are dressed in formal European attire: the groom wore a stylish tuxedo and the bride a stunning golden dress.

The wedding ceremony itself takes place underneath a canopy known as a Mandap and each of the four pillars represents one of the four parents. Mark from La Table Events said “The couple chose the venue due to it’s stunning creek views and magnificent platform in the center of a pool where the Mandap was located. The wedding itself was gorgeous, emotional and the spiritual energy was incredibly positive.”

The main reception was all you’d expect from an Indian wedding. The Mandap is adorned with beautiful pink and purple flowers with floaty netting and as the sun sets it glitters with fairly lights. Indian weddings often incorporate animals into the reception and we’re loving the unique centre pieces with ornate trees and birds.
