Steal Her Style-Dia Mirza wedding day looks

Dia Mirza needs no introduction, at least in India. For those of you who need one: here is a bit about her: Dia is a model and actor-turned-movie producer. Perhaps, she is best known for winning the Miss India-Asia Pacific International beauty contest, in 2000. Famous for her beautiful smile and stylish dressing sense, this diva is also known to juggle her time between modelling, TV and movie shoots while working for various charitable organizations such as supporting cancer patients and PETA – how does she do it?

The stunning beauty tied the knot on October 18^th 2014, with her long time beau, Sahil Sangha. We hear the proposal was a romantic one; Sahil asked for Dia’s hand in marriage on the Brooklyn Bridge in NY. The gorgeous couple had been dating for 4 years.

Dia seems to be a huge fan of popular Indian fashion designer, Ritu Kumar, as she chose the veteran for designing most of her bridal outfits. For the wedding ceremony, she chose a beautiful beige and green sharara (this one was designed by another famous Indian designer duo-Shantanu&Nikhil) while her handsome groom chose a lovely white Sherwani.

For the Mehendi night, it was Ritu Kumar all the way again; this time, the lovely bride chose a mustard-gold anarkali with simple jewellery and floral hair accessories. Sahil complemented her look by opting for a striking red bandhgala. The combination made for some truly winning pictures, we think.

For the Sangeet, Dia dazzled and sparkled in a purple outfit with sheer dupatta and sequins; this one was designed by another highly popular Indian designer, Anita Dongre.

For her reception, Dia chose a beige peach saree with sleeveless faint-beige choli accessorized with elegant emerald jewellery and stylish updo. The wedding was an intimate affair with only close friends and who’s who of Indian film and modelling industry.
