Sensational Wedding Music by The Supernovas!

Music is an essential part of your wedding from the romantic and intimate ceremony music to crowd-pleasing music to dance the night away to. Today we’d like to introduce you to the super-talented Supernovas; an awesome Dubai-based band with sparkling talent and versatility.

They have already performed all over the UAE and have played for weddings and corporate events at some of the most prestigious venues in the country. Let’s catch up with Sean from the Supernovas to tell us more…

How did you become a wedding singer?

We started off by playing at some weddings for our friends and then, through word of mouth, several brides and grooms wanted to book us for their weddings. It took off from there and we absolutely love what we do!

Tell us a bit about Supernovas?

We are an events company based in Dubai and we’re a one-stop-shop for weddings. We provide all your wedding music as well as photography, videography, photobooth and DJs. Our team will liaise with the venue and wedding planner to make sure everything runs smoothly and on time. We take pride in our work and ensure the couple and all their guests have the best time!

Our brides are after different types of music – can you cater for them?

We offer a wide range of music for the bride and groom to select from. We know how important it is to create the perfect atmosphere so we spend time with the couple working out what type of music they like and make sure it’s added to the play list. If the song you want is not on our list let us know and we will learn it for you!

What styles of music do you specialise in?

We specialise in pop, rock and folk although we can play most things that the couple would like to hear! We can to cater to your budget without sacrificing quality. By using our two-piece band with backing tracks we are able to retain the ‘full band sound’ which keeps people dancing all night with a high energy mix of pop, oldies, funk, current top 40, soul and all those 80s hits.

What musical options do you offer couples?

We offer many options for all parts of your special day. With years of experience we can ensure we provide the right type of music and number of performers; whether it’s ceremony music on acoustic guitar and singer or electric violin, jazz duo for a drinks reception or the full 5 piece dance band for the night time party!

What parts of the day should be accompanied by music?

It really depends on what the bride would like but we do recommend music at most points during the day. Music can really set the scene as it creates a fantastic atmosphere. For the ceremony, which tends to be a smaller more intimate setting, usually one or two musicians works well and won’t overpower but for the reception you can go bigger. Whatever the couple wants we can provide!
