With the Deira Enrichment Project well underway, we visited the brand new Wyndham Dubai Deira; sitting right at the heart of this wonderful development. With multiple restaurants for private hire, as well as a bright ballroom and modern pool deck with views of Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa, it’s a great option for any couple looking for a chic, budget-friendly venue for their wedding…especially with their current special offer!
We caught up with Khaled Amer, who told us more about this exciting new venue…
What is your role at the property?
My role is Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing taking care of 3 hotels in Ithra new project in Deira “Deira Enrichment Project” (Wyndham Dubai Deira, Super8 Dubai Deira and Days by Wyndham Dubai Deira which is expected to open by September 2021).
Tell us a little about your venue and the wedding event spaces.
For special occasions, Wyndham Dubai Deira is an exceptional place to get married in Dubai’s heritage hub. Being the newest in Dubai Our Fairouz Ballroom is just perfect for weddings up to 175 guests. Our team is on hand to go through every detail with our guests to bring the wedding of guests dreams to life.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
The nice thing about working in hospitality is feeling that the work you do for others is appreciated. It is a great feeling that I enjoy knowing that I just made someone’s day special by offering him a great hospitable experience in our hotel!
Have you ever had any extra special or unusual requests from brides and grooms?
We meet enthusiastic guests every day, a groom wanted to surprise his bride with an amazing experience accessing the hotel from the Creekside in a Dubai Authentic Abra!
How are you navigating the COVID restrictions?
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts maintain a very high level of precautionary measures with specific sanitization and social distancing processes and guidelines and we are SGS hygiene and sanitation certified
Are people still hosting wedding events at your venue?
Yes according the authorities guide line and working on future events.
How should an engaged couple go about viewing and/or booking your venue for their wedding?
We do offer all our information on our web page www.wyndhamdubaideira.com , we do also virtual tours in addition to hotel show rounds followed by customised menus and tailor-made wedding packages.
