“Louise and Andrew decided to have a Scottish wedding ceremony where they tied their hands together in an act called hand fasting. This tradition, which dates back to medieval times, is originally a Celtic custom of betrothal. It symbolizes a ‘temporary marriage’ where the couple pledge their love to each other for a year, after which they commit to each other for life in another ceremony. As Louise and Andrew were going back to the UK to celebrate their legal marriage it made the hand fasting ceremony all the more meaningful.

“Along with Dubai’s cooling November weather and the beautiful scenery of the Arabian Ranches Golf Club, we planned one of our sweetest weddings yet. The couple flew in from the UK to celebrate their love in front of their closest family and friends.”

“The ceremony took place in a secluded garden close to one of the golf courses at the gorgeous Arabian Ranches Golf Club, after which guests were escorted to the terrace of Baker Finch for a relaxing dinner under the sky. In line with highlighting their Scottish heritage, Louise and Andrew chose burgundy as the main color for their wedding decor. We also added a touch of green, off-white and gold to create an elegantly classic finish.”

“We prepared centrepieces with a simple assortment of white o’hara roses and hydrangeas, astilbe, foliage and beautiful burgundy baby roses. The tablescape was simple yet eye-catching. On the table we placed thank you cards personalized for every guest. The white napkins were tied softly by crimson ribbons. To finish it all off, we placed mini glass favours filled with sand and seashells adorned with the couple’s initials.

“Once the sun set, the guests were escorted to Baker Finch’s terrace. What truly added that magical touch to the space were the golden lanterns scattered across the terrace, and the blanket of sparkling fairy lights above the head table”
