What is your role at the property?

I am responsible for overseeing the enchanting world of weddings at Atlantis The Palm Resort. In my role, I am dedicated to curating unforgettable experiences within the wedding segment. My mission extends beyond mere oversight, as I am steadfast in my commitment to continually enhance the overall service and quality offered by our esteemed hotel.

Tell us a little about your venue and the wedding event spaces. 

With the most extravagant event rooms that redefine celebration, Atlantis The Palm, which has been tucked away in the centre of Palm Island for more than ten years, is a shining example of elegance and sophistication. Our prestigious ballroom, accompanied by a dedicated pre-function area and an exclusive terrace offering breathtaking views of the resort landscape, is meticulously crafted to ensure that your special day is nothing short of extraordinary.

The picturesque surroundings of the resort, coupled with its’ unparalleled luxury and impeccable service standards, set the stage for an unforgettable experience, where every moment becomes a cherished memory for you and your guests.

What makes your venue so special?  

Our venue, a masterpiece for weddings, exudes elegance with ballrooms accommodating up to 1,000 guests. Adorned with high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers, these spaces create a timeless ambiance. The unique feature of music allowed until 3 am ensures vibrant celebrations. A dedicated entrance via the Conference Centre driveway adds an exclusive touch, promising a seamless arrival experience.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?

Making fantasies come true is what I love most about being a wedding planner. Every love story is different, and it’s genuinely wonderful to turn those stories into enchanted parties. Seeing couples happy, from the first inspiration to the last dance, is my biggest reward. Creating moments that linger in hearts
forever is not just a profession; it’s a privilege that fills my soul with immense satisfaction and happiness.

Have you ever had any extra special or unusual requests from brides and grooms?

Certainly! While every wedding holds its unique charm, there was a particularly memorable instance when the groom had an extraordinary request…

He envisioned a playful prank during the ceremony, involving hiding the wedding band. Embracing the spirit of scripted merriment, I orchestrated the light-hearted chaos. The outcome was a happy, humorous atmosphere that gave the bride and her family priceless memories.

These charming and surprising moments are what turn every wedding into an unforgettable and genuinely remarkable occasion.

What wedding trends do you think will gain popularity in 2024?

In the ever-shrinking global village, the distinction between physical and digital realms is fading. Weddings now transcend mere in-person celebrations, extending their joy digitally through social media, connecting friends, colleagues, and loved ones worldwide.

Today’s weddings demand careful consideration of colour palettes and scenic backdrops for each photograph or video clip, ensuring couples can share their memories in the most captivating digital format. Therefore, weaving elements of grandeur, opulence, generosity, and extravagance into the wedding planning process has become essential for creating a truly memorable and visually stunning celebration.
