Your Wedding Emergency Kit Checklist

On your wedding day, every moment is precious – so you shouldn’t spend your valuable time searching everywhere for plasters, headache tablets, or needle and thread. It’s a wise idea to prepare a little emergency kit – you never know when you may need it! You can entrust a member of your family, your chief bridesmaid, or your wedding planner to keep it in a safe place during the day. And you won’t have to worry about keeping it out of sight – the kit will be small enough to hide in whatever place you feel will be most convenient. In fact, you could even hide all the items in a beautiful purse.

So what should you put in your emergency kit? Here’s a handy list of everything you could possibly need – and of course you’re welcome to add more items of your own. Just remember to buy any liquids in mini-sizes (also called travel size). For some of the items, you may be able to get free samples from your local make-up stores or pharmacies – just ask if they’re available.

Here is your handy emergency kit list:

  • hair pins
  • hair elastics
  • hair spray
  • small comb
  • tissues
  • face wipes
  • powder
  • lipstick
  • mascara
  • extra earrings
  • antiperspirant
  • perfume
  • small mirror
  • spare nails and glue
  • clear nail polish
  • nail polish remover
  • plasters
  • blister pads
  • gauze
  • safety pins
  • mini sewing kit
  • headache pills
  • indigestion pills
  • smelling salts
  • tampons or pads
  • chewing gum
  • mini toothbrush and toothpaste
  • tweezers

After the wedding, you may even like to take this kit with you on your honeymoon, taking out the things you won’t need – like the extra earrings, and other toiletries.
