"Win Your Wedding" Winners | Hannah & Nikko's Big Day

At the end of last year weddingsonline, along with lots of our lovey partners, sponsored a “Win Your Wedding” competition! The lucky winners were Hannah and Nikko, who tied the knot in Ras Al Khaimah at the beginning of March this year. Let’s take a peek…

We met…We both love music and attended a music training session for volunteer leaders at the Thrive Max Events Centre in Dubai in May 2016. We didn’t talk to each other but Nikko said he noticed me during roll call. I later sang on stage with some other vocalists and a live band. It wasn’t until September when he ‘friended’ me on Facebook that we met up for a date, chaperoned by his sister!

Our proposal…It was so romantic! Nikko proposed to me in December 2017 at Palma Beach Hotel Umm Al Quwain with the help of our volunteer friends and church family. It was just so magical! I passed through a walkway with love quotes on the wall to romantic music playing in the background. When I reached Nikko, who was holding a bouquet of flowers, all our friends were holding big letters saying ““WILL YOU MARRY ME HANNAH?” I was so speechless until he knelt down on one knee with the ring and I just said “Yes!”

Our wedding theme/colours..We chose lovely contrasting colours of navy blue, ice blue and silver.

My dress…It was white mermaid shaped gown, tailored by Miss Coco Fashion.

Hair style by….. Frahn Chezka Billano and assisted by Elisha Hanniel Agetano.

Make up by…. Fatema Al Shehhi assisted by Frahn Chezka Billano.

His Suit…..Tailored by Trends Tailor RAK and designed by the bride.

Our ceremony…It was such a memorable occasion with a very calm and dignified atmosphere. I sang my own song composition while walking down the aisle and Nikko was so surprised and through it was amazing!

We chose our photographer because…Franco Apelo Foto and Film is a simply amazing photographer. His talent is phenomenal and the decision to use him to capture our wedding was simple. He was really easy to work with and made sure we knew what to do!

We chose our wedding coordinators because…It was super comfortable to plan our weddings with friends.

We chose our venue because…Hilton Al Hamra Beach and Golf Resort is a beautiful resort and was the perfect spot for our dream wedding. Their team had big hearts and gave us full support throughout the planning process.

Our menu…It was a international dinner buffet and it was awesome! It exceeded our expectations and all of our guests loved it too.

Our honeymoon…our first night as a newly-weds we stayed at the City Stay Beach Hotel RAK which was only a short drive from our wedding reception.

My favourite part of the wedding day…The moment that we danced together as a newly-weds and we sang together for the celebration thanksgiving.

My piece of advice for other brides…In the midst of the wedding preparations, take courage and believe that you will fulfil all that you’ve planned. There will be some changes but you have to be flexible! Take it easy and savour the calm not the stress. At the end of the day, your goal is to have the best wedding ever.
