Today we’re lucky enough to catch up with Laure Sejean, a super-talented bridal make-up artist, who tells us how to achieve that boho look for your big day. The flourishing boho style is totally on trend with its carefree vibe and sense of effortless elegance. For the wider wedding theme think soft pastels, different textures, lots of greenery and delicate florals. For boho style makeup it’s all about your own natural look enhanced with muted tones and subtle accents. Let’s find out more from Laure Sejean herself…
As your wedding is approaching, you’ll need to decide on what makeup look you want. There are so many different styles to choose from but one of the most important aspects when looking into your bridal makeup is that you want to look and feel yourself. However you also want to ensure your makeup will be in line with the overall theme of your reception and dinner. The boho natural look is still very much a trend and it’s really romantic.
This is a the kind of a no makeup makeup look that you want to get. It will make you feel really special on your big day as well as retaining your own identity. The underlying theme to achieve a boho look is less is more. The eyeshadow will be there more to contour your eyes than intensify them as the aim is to keep your makeup natural. However try and choose a shade that will enhance your eye colour.
For your skin, keep it well moisturized, with a lightwear foundation so you feel as if you are not wearing makeup. For the boho makeup style I like to keep it almost monochromatic, which means that your eyes, lipstick and blush should be in the same subtle hues. The blush can be a light pinkish colour to bring back youth and freshness of your complexion. For your lips choose one that will be the closest shade of your blush – simple! Overall its a natural sun-kissed look which works beautifully for all complexions.
